Ms. Machiah Fuqua
Hello, my name is Machiah Fuqua and I am excited to serve as one of the assistant principal at Sparkman 9! I bring over a decade of experience in education as a math teacher, instructional coach and most recently as an Assistant Principal at Sparkman Middle School.
I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Secondary Math Education from Alabama A&M University, along with an Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership from Samford University. I’m currently continuing my journey as a doctoral student at Samford, pursuing my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.
As a National Board Certified Teacher, I’m passionate about supporting students, empowering teachers, and fostering a culture of excellence. Outside of school, I enjoy reading and spending time with my husband, Don, and our two amazing kiddos, Savannah and Preston.
